Description	:	Mary Artemicia Stolp was born at Syracuse, New York, August 24, 1847, and died at Oxford, Nebraska, April 23, 1918, aged seventy years and eight months. In childhood she moved with her parents to Aurora, Illinois. On April 12, 1871, she was married to Thomas W. Green and in 1880 moved to Fairmont, Nebraska, where she made her home, with the exception of a few years at Friend, Nebraska, until stricken with paralysis in 1912, since which time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. V.V. Farrar, at Oxford and with her son, Stanley, at Omaha.... Read More	Mary Artemicia Stolp was born at Syracuse, New York, August 24, 1847, and died at Oxford, Nebraska, April 23, 1918, aged seventy years and eight months. In childhood she moved with her parents to Aurora, Illinois. On April 12, 1871, she was married to Thomas W. Green and in 1880 moved to Fairmont, Nebraska, where she made her home, with the exception of a few years at Friend, Nebraska, until stricken with paralysis in 1912, since which time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. V.V. Farrar, at Oxford and with her son, Stanley, at Omaha. She suffered the loss of her husband in March, 1902. She as one of a family of eleven children, two of whom, with her son and daughter, survive her. Early in life, she united with the Methodist church, devoting her life to the advancement of the Master's Kingdom with untiring devotion. She was a devoted wife and mother and was always ready to lend a helping hand or open her home to any one in sickness or need. Indeed, her hospitality and kindness were unbounded, and memory of her will be a blessing. She was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. Not only was she active in the agency of reform, but in all that was for the betterment of the world she was deeply interested and freely gave to these causes her time, her influence and her money. Brief services were held at Oxford, after which the body was brought to Fairmont where services were held in the Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by Dr. John Gallagher, a former pastor and long-time friend. Rev. Walker assisted. The body was laid to rest in the Fairmont cemetery.
