Description	:	The death of Stanley Green in an Omaha hospital last Sunday came as a distinct shock to many old Fairmont friends, few of whom had known of his serious illness. Mr. Green was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Green, early and long-time residents of the Fairmont community. Stanley Green grew to manhood here and had served as manager of the ice cream department of the Fairmont Creamery Co., over a period of thirty-seven years, retiring from active duty in 1939. He was in his seventieth year and had recently been in failing health.... Read More	The death of Stanley Green in an Omaha hospital last Sunday came as a distinct shock to many old Fairmont friends, few of whom had known of his serious illness. Mr. Green was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Green, early and long-time residents of the Fairmont community. Stanley Green grew to manhood here and had served as manager of the ice cream department of the Fairmont Creamery Co., over a period of thirty-seven years, retiring from active duty in 1939. He was in his seventieth year and had recently been in failing health. He was a registered pharmacist and had served his company since 1902. Mr. Green was a member of the Central Congregational church, president of the Continental Club and a member of the Masonic bodies, including the Scottish Rite and Shrine. Funeral services were held in Omaha Wednesday at one o'clock p.m., in charge of Burkett morticians, who brought the body to Fairmont about five o'clock p.m., for interment beside his parents in the family plot in the Fairmont cemetery. Kritner morticians assisted locally. The services at the cemetery were in charge of Fairmont Masonic lodge, assisted by several members from Geneva. The bank of floral offerings were especially impressive. Members of the family and numerous friends accompanied the party from Omaha. Mr. Green is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Elizabeth Dorwart of Friend; two sons, J. Willard Green of Beverly Hills, Cal., and DeWitt S. Green of Council Bluffs; one grandson, Jay Willard Green Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Vorus (Nellie) Farrar of Santa Cruz, Calif. Also many other relatives and friends.
