Description	:	BURNETT, MARY B.—Mrs. Mary B. Burnett was born at Granville, Ill., October 15, 1847. She passed away at her home in Geneva, Neb., at 9:30 a. m. March 1, 1939, aged 91 years, 4 months, and 16 days. March 17, 1868, she was married to Charles H. Burnett at Tonica, Ill. To this union were born two children, Lillian Amy, Now Mrs. Ira Heath of Geneva, and Hattie Evelyn, who departed this life January 4, 1902. Burnett was born at Granville, Ill., October 15, 1847. She passed away at her home in Geneva, Neb., at 9:30 a. m. March 1, 1939, aged 91 years, 4 months, and 16 days. March 17, 1868, she was married to Charles H. Burnett at Tonica, Ill. To this union were born two children, Lillian Amy, Now Mrs. Ira Heath of Geneva, and Hattie Evelyn, who departed this life January 4, 1902. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to Chatsworth, Ill., where she resided with her family until 1887, when they moved to LaSalle county, Illinois. March 17, 1891, the family moved to Geneva, Neb., where Mrs. Burnett resided until her death. Mr. Burnett passed away March 31, 1930. At an early age Mrs. Burnett joined the Methodist church and was a faithful member and took an active interest in all church affairs until failing health confined her to her home. She was a member of the Woman's Foreign Missionary society, of which she was treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, and the W. C. T. U. She leaves to mourn her departure her son-in- law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heath, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Geneva Methodist church at 2:30 p. m. Friday, March 3. Rev. William Kilburn officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet, Judge Howard Hamilton, Mrs. A. H. Elder, Mrs. H. A. Rosenau, and F. M. Holtz. The pallbearers were four grandsons, a great-grandson and a grandson-in-law. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal March 9, 1939 page 1.
