Description	:	A 1915 graduate of Iowa State College, she taught home economics in Humboldt and in Toledo where she initiated the first noon school lunch program in Iowa. Later she worked for Iowa State Extension and became the first woman 4-H leader in Iowa. She was survived by a son, 12 grand children, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
