Description	:	Mary C. Harrison, 86, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary service, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Harrison was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Mount Carmel, Iowa, the daughter of Stephan and Anna (Schulte) Loew. She grew up in Maple River, Iowa. She married Ralph A. "Jiggs" Harrison on May 5, 1938, in Carroll, Iowa. He died Oct. 9, 1976, in Sioux City. She lived in Carroll before moving to Sioux City in 1957. She worked at Younker Department Store for 20 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Confraternity for 46 years. She was a member of the Carmelite Guild and the Catholic Women's League. She was an avid Cubs fan and loved to crochet. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by six daughters, Donna Carda and her husband, Richard, of Fairbanks, Alaska, Nancy Harrison of Sioux City, Joan Tryon and her husband, Stewart, of Lincoln, Neb., Pam Brown of Sioux City, Mary Cae Duffy and her husband, Neil, of Holmdel, N.J., and Debbie Harrison-Streff of Anoka, Minn.; a sister, Liz Sturm of Carroll, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
