Description	:	Taken from the Bruning Banner dated May 5, 1927: Mrs. Voss was taken ill with some form of throat trouble on Wednesday of last week and on Thursday she was brought to the local hosital, where she passed away on Saturday morning, April 16, 1927. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Congregational church, the Lutheran minister, Rev. Wirth of Rapid City, S.D., officiating. The sons acted as pallhearers and many beautiful flowers covered the casket, among which was a very beautiful floral pillow bearing the loving word, "Mother" from the sons and daughters of the departed one. Interment was made in the New Underwood cemetery. Mrs. G. Voss was born on August 24, 1873, at Peoria, Ill. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William Wilhelms. At Bruning, Nebr. on February 18, 1892, she was united in marriage to George Voss. To this union was blessed with nine children, five boys and four girls. The family moved from Bruning, Nebr., to Clark, S.D. in 1910 and came to western South Dakota in 1920. The family moved to their present home near Viewfield four years ago. Mrs. Voss attained the age of 53 years, 8 months and 16 days. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure her husband, George Voss, and her five sons, William, of Clark, S.D., Henry of Floyd, Iowa, and Herman, Edwin and Martin at home; her four daughters, Mrs. Adolph Bausch of New Underwood, S.D., Mrs. Edwin D. Hughes of Lincoln, Nebr., and Clara and Ella at home. There are also seven grandchildren.
