Read More	Mary Catherine (Brischle) HAUSCHILD (04/21/1935 - 07/25/2017) On July 25, 2017, Mary Hauschild was welcomed into Heaven. The world has lost a loving and very giving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. There was not a day that went by that she did not offer to help or give something to someone. This was just her every day gesture that she did without thinking twice. Mary was a humble servant and never sought the limelight. She was an accomplished homemaker and made everything look easy and effortless. She rarely used a recipe and rarely measured. She carried on the family tradition of making bread, cinnamon rolls, and pies that she learned from her mother. Mary was born on April 21, 1935, to William and Elsie Brischle, the youngest of six children. She was raised on a small family farm on Pleasant Prairie and was very proud of her roots. Mary graduated from West Valley High School and attended business college. In 1955, Mary married Donald Hauschild and together they returned to Pleasant Prairie to build a home across the country road from her mother and father. It was here that Don and Mary raised their three children: Steve, Mark, and Linda. Mary was active in many ways. During the earlier harvest years, she was the go-to person to ride the back of the Harvester and sew burlap grass seed sacks at a rapid pace. At times, she was the designated wheat truck driver and the farm cook. In addition, Mary worked in a variety of office positions and excelled as an information processor. She enjoyed sewing, kept an immaculate garden, volunteered at church and served many other charities. She was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Mary was also a sports fan - enjoying basketball and baseball. She also enjoyed snow skiing and watching her five grandsons participate in many sporting events. Mary is survived by her husband Donald Hauschild; children Steve (April) Hauschild; Mark Hauschild, and Linda (Mike) Roth, and grandchildren: Tyler Hauschild, Michael Hauschild, David Hauschild, Bradley (Ashley) Roth, and Matthew Roth. On Tuesday, August 1, at 1:00 pm a celebration of Mary's life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Schafer Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, August 1 at 10:30 pm at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery on E. Morgan Rd. To honor Mary, consider wearing her favorite color, purple.
