She was the daughter of John A. Pfrehm (1821-aft 1885) and Mary Frederica Swaggert (1832-aft 1885). Kate was the seventh of their nine known children, all born in Illinois. Her parents were immigrants, John A. Pfrehm (1821-aft 1885) and Mary Frederica Hiller Swaggert (1832-aft 1885). John was from Prussia, Mary from Wurttemberg, Germany. Read More	*************************************************************************************** Mary Catherine "Kate" (Pfrehm) Williams was born on Nov. 10. 1868 in Petersburg, Menard Co., Illinois. She was the daughter of John A. Pfrehm (1821-aft 1885) and Mary Frederica Swaggert (1832-aft 1885). Kate was the seventh of their nine known children, all born in Illinois. Her parents were immigrants, John A. Pfrehm (1821-aft 1885) and Mary Frederica Hiller Swaggert (1832-aft 1885). John was from Prussia, Mary from Wurttemberg, Germany. They were married on July 23, 1854 in Menard Co., IL. They moved to Lancaster Co., Nebraska sometime between 1873-79. They then moved to Custer Co., Nebraska about 1880, when Kate was about 12 years old. Their burial sites are currently unknown. On Mar. 14, 1889 Kate was married to Willis Green Williams (1906-1944), probably in Custer County. She was 20 years of age at the time. Willis, age 32, was the son of William Hardin Singleton Williams (1836-1912) and Margaret Hail (1836-1987). Willis' father, William, was born near Eubank, Pulaski Co., Kentucky and died in Heyworth, McLean Co., Illinois. Willis' mother, Margaret, was born in Pulaski Co., KY and died in Kingtown, Whitley Co, (now McCreary Co.), KY. Kate and Willis were married for 35 years and had eight known children. In order of their birth they were Edna Mae Williams (1890-1890), Effie P. Williams (1890- ?), Minna Ann "Minnie" Williams (1891-1980), Claude Cyrus Williams (1895-1950), Charles Roy "Charlie" Williams (1896-1967), Arthur George J. Williams (1898-1965), Earl Owen Williams (1901-1998) and Essie Maggie Williams (1901-1934). Kate died on Dec. 31, 1925 in Custer, Custer Co., Nebraska at the age of 57. She is buried in the West Union Cemetery in Custer County. Willis died on Oct. 17, 1944 in Riverton, Fremont Co., Wyoming at the age of 88. He was living there with his son, Claude Williams (1859-1959), and his family.
