Description	:	Mrs. Manic C. Sterling Mrs. Manie C. Sterling, beloved resident of Lawsonia, passed away at her home in that community Friday last at the age of fifty-eight. Death was the result of a complication of diseases. The deceased was an upright, gentle, Christian woman and before ill health overtook her she was one of the Asbury M.E. Churches most devout and most active members and in years back she was a noted singer in the choir of that church. Sterling, beloved resident of Lawsonia, passed away at her home in that community Friday last at the age of fifty-eight. Death was the result of a complication of diseases. The deceased was an upright, gentle, Christian woman and before ill health overtook her she was one of the Asbury M.E. Churches most devout and most active members and in years back she was a noted singer in the choir of that church. Mrs. Sterling was known and loved for her splendid character, for her cheerfulness at all times even under the most trying conditions, and for her other fine traits. She was a wonderful mother, a fine wife, a good neighbor and a friend to all. Her death came as a shock to her many friends and her community, Lawsonia, as well as this city, will feel a distinct loss at her passing. She is survived by her husband, Archie Sterling, prominent local waterman, and two sons, Linwood Sterling, of Linden, N.J., and King Sterling of this city. One sister, Mrs. Della Somers, of Crisfield, and two grandchildren, also survive. Funeral services were held from the Asbury Church on Monday with the Rev. J.T. Rowlenson, pastor of the church, in charge of the services. Interment was in the Asbury Cemetery. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, February 4, 1938, p. 8 Mary C.
