Bolt, 81, a resident of this vicinity for the last sixty-six years, died at 2 A.M., Saturday, March 10, 1933, at her home, with the Rev. Arthur Mortenson, pastor of the local Presbyterian Church, Villisca, Iowa, in charge of the rites. Pallbearers were Crawford Sawyer, Carl Taylor, J. F. Taylor, Dr. O. E. Phillips, Glen Robe, and W. J. Oviatt, and burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery. Mary Catherine Stewart, daughter of William and Rachel Stewart, was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on January 24, 1852. She came with her parents to Iowa when she was 16 years old and lived in and near Villisca, Iowa the rest of her life. She was married March 9, 1871, to J. C. Bolt. To this union four children were born, Mrs. W. J. Rosser of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Chas. J. Luppold, of Red Oak, Montgomery County, Iowa, Frank Bolt of Villisca, Montgomery County, Iowa, and one son who preceded his parents in death. Besides her three children, Mrs. Bolt is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Bean of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. A. L Hallam of north of Villisca, Iowa, and Mrs. Charles Patton of Atlanta, Georgia, and by two granddaughters, Mrs. William Anderson of near Red Oak, and Mrs. J. W. Briton of Madison, Wisconsin. Mrs. Bolt united with the Villisca Presbyterian Church on March 10, 1911. The following relatives and friends from out of town were here for the funeral; Mrs. Jennie Bean of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Rosser of Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Luppoid of Red Oak, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Melvin of Bedford, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Overholser, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Blue, Mrs. Peck, Mrs. Gertrude Windsor, and Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald, all of Red Oak, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greenlee, Stewart Greenlee, and Mrs. Grace Evaughn, all of Atlantic, Iowa.
