Read More	Dau of John Fredrick & Wilhelmena Johanna (Geisler) Peters ---------------------------------------- Mary Christina Peters Schwarting Obit: Mary Christina Schwarting February 27, 1866 – January 7, 1945 Mary Christina was born in Ohio, February 27, 1866. She passed away Sunday evening, January 7, 1945, at the age of 79 years 9 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage on May 11, 1882, to John Schwarting. In 1904 she came with her husband and children to Antelope County, Nebraska to make this part of the country her home. Nine children were born into her family, four of whom preceded her in death; namely, Mrs. Hannah Durre, Fred, Charles and August. Her husband preceded her in death in 1914. Those surviving of her children are: Mrs. Anna Kinney of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mrs. Lizzie Bickford of Eddyville, Oregon; and George, Wyoming and Louis residing in our community. She is also survived by two brothers and two sister, 33 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Following the death of her husband she first made her home with her son August till he passed on, and with George and his wife since that time. Enjoying good health she never knew what sickness was until about three months ago she began to complain of pain in her left side. This condition grew worse day after day. Finally she broke down entirely and had to be taken to the hospital where she passed to her final reward last Sunday night at 11 o'clock. Upon a checkup by the physician it was found that a blood clot had settled in her heart, which was the cause of her death. She was a member of the Evangelican Friedens Church ever since she came to our community and attended the services whenever possible.
