Dauron, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Dauron, was born in Macon county, Illinois January 2, 1865 and came to the home near Cherokee, Kansas with her parents in 1871, where she grew to young womanhood. In early life she professed Christ and joined the Christian church. The hand of affliction was laid heavily upon her, but through all her suffering her faith grew stronger in her maker. She died Saturday morning, December 15th, in the state hospital at Parsons, Kansas, which had been her home for the past seven years. The sadness and sympathy offered by her associates attested to the love and esteem to which she was held. She leaves four brothers, I.W. Dauron, J.W. Dauron, J.I. Dauron and L.W. Dauron, and many friends to mourn her loss. The remains were brought to Cherokee Sunday evening over the Frisco, and taken to the home of her brother, I.W. Dauron. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church in Cherokee and the body laid beside her parents in the Cherokee cemetery.
