ANDREW GWINN Mrs. Andrew Gwinn passed away at her home in Lucas, Iowa on Wednesday, April 4, 1917, after an illness of about one week. Sayers was born in Coshocton county, Ohio, on Feb. 28, 1850. At the age of five years she came with her parents to Lucas, Iowa, where she resided until her death. About 1867 she confessed Christ as her Saviour and identified herself with the Christian church at Last Chance, under the pastorate of Rev. Porter, and has ever been faithful to her profession. About the year 1912 she united with the Baptist church at Spring Hill, where her membership remained until the Master called her home. On March 5, 1870, she was united in marriage to Andrew J. Gwinn, Rev. James Stumbaugh officiating. To this union nine sons were born, two of whom died in infancy. She is survived by her husband and seven sons. She had reached the age of 67 years, 1 month and 6 days. Thus ends the earthly career of a noble, kind-hearted neighbor, whom the neighborhood will miss. The grief-stricken husband and children, who have lost a dear companion and a loving mother, will have the sympathy of the community.
