She was seventy-nine years of age. Read More	Mrs. Mary Sterling Succumbed Yesterday Morning Mrs. Mary Sterling, widow of the late Edward Sterling, and one of the most esteemed residents of the Lawsonia neighborhood, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Tyler, at approximately 11:00 o'clock yesterday morning. She was seventy-nine years of age. Mrs. Sterling, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Smith Ward, of the Jacksonville section, was a woman of the highest integrity, loved end respected by a legion of warm friends, who were deeply shocked and grieved at her passing. In her death Crisfield has lost one of its finest citizens. She had been in ill health for a long time but was ever a patient sufferer and remained her usual cheerful self until the end. A faithful church member and a devout Christian, Mrs. Sterling endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact and leaves a great void in the hearts of all who knew her. Possessing a charitable nature, she always believed in helping those who were less fortunate than herself and was willing to aid all those in need, even to the stranger at her door. Surviving are two sons, James Nelson and Leonard Nelson and one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Tyler, all of Crisfield. One brother, William Ward, of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Stevenson, of Baltimore and Mrs. Lovey Riggin and Mrs. Annie Somers, both of Crisfield, also survive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. J.T. Rowlenson, pastor of the Asbury Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Asbury cemetery.
