Mary graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1961. Mary Allamand married Merlin Husmann on Feb. 4, 1961, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Mary was known as the Cake Lady, making cakes for every occasion for over 50 years. She ran the bakery at Family Foods in Anamosa and Monticello. She loved to grow flowers and garden as well. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Merlin; and six siblings, Polly, Pamalea, Leny, Larry, Donna and Everett.
