Read More	Highland Recorder August 25, 1905 Mary Elizabeth Ogilvie at the interesting age of sixteen years: Mary Lizzie Ogilvie has been lead from earth, her death occurring on Friday after noon about 1 o'lock, at the home of her mother, Mrs M.L. Ogilvie, of Monterey. While the sad event was not un-looked for by her family & friends, it was, in a measure, a surprise, for hope was entertained that she might longer withstand the fatal malady and be permitted to linger amid the earthly scenes so dear to girlhood and early life. But the hand was unrelenting, and she fell asleep as calmly & peacefully as a little babe on its mother's breast. Besides the resident members' of her family, two brothers. James, of Hillsboro, W.Va. & Hanson, of Norfolk, were present at the time of her death, two devoted cousins, Misses May & Kate Ogilvie, of Washington, arriving on the following day. Two other brothers & a sister, who were unable to answer the sad summons, are Frank and John, the former at Carbin, Ky., the latter of Charleston, W.Va. and Mrs. Josephine Hunn of Junction City, Ky. It was while visiting her sister at Junction City that the blighting land of disease gave evidence of ts presence & during the first stages of this illness ... She gained sufficient strength to be brought to her home & for a few weeks, showed market improvement in many ways. Serious and fatal complications developed, however & the end was hastened. Deceased had been a member of the Methodist church for about three years. In the absence of her pastor a short and appropriate service was conducted by Rev. A.Q. Flaherty at ll o'clock Sunday morning. The large auditorium was filled with sympathizing friends, and the tribute of flowers, the white casket all seemed fittingly appropriate, striking emblems of the pure young life so prematurely ended. The pall-bearers were Glenn Mauzv, Harry Wood, Clyde Hiner, Ray Wilson, Boyd Stephen- son and Kemper Gibson.
