Description	:	MARY E COOP - Mary E Coop, whose maiden name was Brooks, was an early settler in Osborne county, coming here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brooks, at an early age. Mrs, Coop was born in Monroe county, Iowa on November 9, 1854, and passed away at her home in Downs on January 5, 1929. On May 23, 1880, she was united in marriage to Ransom R Coop, and to this union three children were born: Ida, William and James T., William being the only surviving member of the family. Read More	MARY E COOP - Mary E Coop, whose maiden name was Brooks, was an early settler in Osborne county, coming here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brooks, at an early age. Mrs, Coop was born in Monroe county, Iowa on November 9, 1854, and passed away at her home in Downs on January 5, 1929. On May 23, 1880, she was united in marriage to Ransom R Coop, and to this union three children were born: Ida, William and James T., William being the only surviving member of the family. Ida and James passed to the Great Beyond in 1918. For a period of 11 years Mrs. Coop was faithful in the care of her grandchildren who had been left in her keeping. At an early age she gave her heart to Jesus Christ and was a member of the Christian church. She lived a beautiful christian life and died strong in the faith. Mrs. Coop leaves to mourn her passing not only members of her family, but a host of warm friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with C.M.
