Mrs. Vern Collins, a niece , sang. Pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. Miller: Gilbert, Clyde, Burrell and Vern Collins of Miller, Thomas Collins, Rapid City and Lynn Miller, Canton. Mary Collins Miller, better known as Dollie, Miller, was born at Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of G. W. and Sarah Jane Collins. When about three years old she moved with her parents to Ree Heights and later to a farm in Glendale township. As one of the pioneer settlers she experienced many of the hardships of the early days. In 1900 she married Edwin L. Miller. The first few years of her married life was spent in Miller, where her husband was associated with Biller Brothers of the Miller Roller Mills. In 1903 they moved to a farm in Rockdale township, where they started to build the place that was to be her home for so mamy years. Their son Kenneth was born in 1904. Mr. Miller died in 1925 and Kenneth and his mother continued to operate the farm until they moved to Miller in 1948. As an active person in community affairs, she was a charter member of Justa Club, which has been active in the community for thirty years. She was influential in promoting the hall in Rockdale township, known as Justa Hall. After moving to Miller she maintained her membership in Justa club, and attended every meeting unless absent from home or illness prevented. Surviving are he son, Kenneth, and two brothers Will and Ote Collins and her nieces and nephews. Those attending the services from out of town were: Mrs. Mary Campbell, Rapid City; Mrs. Mary Jane Kurtz, Thomas Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kenner, Rapid City; Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Rhodes and daughter, Wessington Springs; Mr. and Mrs. W.E. burrell, Faulkton; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Miller, Canton; Mr. and Mrs. J. B.
