On September 22, 1872 she was married to J.W. Bolwar. To them were born ten children, five of whom are living: Mrs, Chas. Skinner, Mrs. Ed Martin, Mrs, Will Bandel and Mrs. Cassie Hill of Bloomfield and Mrs. John Russell of Independence, Kansas. Besides these five daughters, she leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, four brothers, one sister, seventeen grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Her brothers are Newton McCormick of Bloomfield, James of Drakesville, Boone of Belknap and Wm. of Pleasant Plain, Iowa. Her sister, Mrs. T. J. Garretson, of Ottumwa, deceased became a Christain at the age of 15 and lived a devoted Christian life untill (sp) called to her reward. During her long and painful illness, she bore her suffering patiently and with true Christian fortitude. Her life was rich in companionship and friendliness. Her devotion to her family and her influence upon her children was such that to them her memory will ever be blessed. Mrs. Bolwar passed away at her home in Bloomfield Sunday morning, March 1, 1914, aged 59 years, 8 months and 14 days. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them." Funeral services were conducted by D.W. Hastings at the Dunville church in the vicinity where deceased was born and reared, known and loved. The body was laid to rest in the Dunville cemetery, her four son-in-laws acting as pallbearers.
