Mrs. C. B. Morley of Mockonema is a sister of the deceased. Mrs. Torrance was a resident of Dayton for 30 years and was highly respected. She was born at Deluth, Minn., in the year 1856, her maiden name being Ettie Phillips. Funeral services were held at the Good Samaritan church, Colfax, Sunday, and the remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows burial ground. A large circle of relatives and friends accompanied the remains from this place and among those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
