Snaw, age 73 years, found relief in death which came to her at 3 o'clock this morning. Although she had suffered much during the past few months, the deceased had born the pain with remarkable christian fortitude and she met death with a smile when it came. Shaw Passes Away Following Long Illness. Ill for more than a year with cancer of the lip, Mrs. Mary E. Snaw, age 73 years, found relief in death which came to her at 3 o'clock this morning. Although she had suffered much during the past few months, the deceased had born the pain with remarkable christian fortitude and she met death with a smile when it came. The deceased was born in Rush county January 8, 1843. At the age of 11 years she came with her parents to Cedar Corner west of the city and the remainder of her life had been spent in this city and vicinity. On June 13, 1890 she was married to John Q. Shaw and to their union was born 9 children, six of whom are still living. The children were: Mrs. J. A. Klingenpeel, Murad, Cal., James Shaw, Adams county; T. M. Shaw, Florida; Asher Shaw, Clarence Shaw and Mrs. Harry Rogers of this city and Mrs. Charles Harbit, of Aroma. Mrs. Shaw was a lifelong member of the Catholic church and she lived a devout christian life which proved a strength to all about her. Her life was one of sacrifice and help for her children and her death comes as a heavy blow to them. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph's church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, Father Biegel in charge and interment will follow in the Catholic cemetery at Tipton.
