Description	:	In the January 1, 1925, Census for Ottumwa, Iowa, Mary stated that her father was William Fitzgerald, born in Ireland. Her mother's name is not given in the census, but it does say that she was born in Ireland. According to that census, Mary's parents were married in New York. Mary's obituary, which I have transcribed below, states that she was survived by one sister, Mrs. Josephine Fitzgerald. I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Daily Courier," Monday, May 8, 1933, Page 11: Mrs. Mary Orndorff, 64 years old, widow of Joseph Orndorff, 526 South Ward street, died at her home Saturday at 9:45 p.m. She is survived by two sons, Jerry and Horace Orndorff of Ottumwa; three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Kendall, Mrs. Lizzie Heckart and Mrs. Myrtle Jones, all of Ottumwa; twenty nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Fitzgerald of St. Louis, Mo. The body was taken to the Johnson funeral chapel and removed to the residence at 2 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the home, 526 South Ward street, conducted by the Rev. A.D.McClure. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
