Schneberger, Raymond Welsh and his mother, Mrs. Welsh Sr.; and Leona Schneberger and Mrs. Frank Whalen of Lincoln; James Crodell, of Benedict; Mr. and Mrs. Clement Baumgardner and John Preston, of York; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schneberger and Leo Gorman, Seward. _____ Seward Independent, March 17, 1938, p. 1, col. 2 DIED AT BROKEN BOW Funeral services were held on March 10, 1938, at 9 a.m., at Broken Bow for Mrs. Gertrude Schneberger Welsh, who died the morning of March 7. She leaves to mourn her early death her husband, Raymond Welsh, a six weeks’ old baby daughter Jo Ann-Claire, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schneberger, parent in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Larey Welsh, all of Broken Bow, two brothers, Raymond Schneberger, Broken Bow, and Joseph Schneberger, Seward, Nebraska, two sisters-in-law, one niece, three nephews, and many other relatives. She had reached the age of 22 years and 11 days. Mrs. Welsh is well known around Staplehurst, her former home. She attended school at Staplehurst, and was a graduate of the Broken Bow high school with the class of 1935.
