She was the widow of Thomas Grant who died several years ago at Beaver Crossing and was well known to old residents of Ulysses and vicinity. Her body was brought to Ulysses on Thursday and funeral services were held from the Ulysses Catholic church on Friday conducted by Rev. Father Loughran. Deceased is survived by three children, William, Joseph, Elizabeth and James, the three former being present at the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Grant were early homesteaders in Butler county having at one time owned the farm adjoining the Catholic cemetery on the south. They have been gone from Ulysses abut twenty-five years.
