Description	:	Mrs. Peter Hamata passed away at the farm home northwest of Schuyler Saturday afternoon after an illness of four weeks due to influenza, which developed into pneumonia. Mrs. Hamata was first taken ill the first of February and her condition was very serious from the very beginning of her illness. She seemed to make favorable progress for a short time but suffered a relapse Wednesday of last week. The funeral services were conducted at the C.S.P.S. hall in this city Monday afternoon, R.A. Mrs. Hamata was first taken ill the first of February and her condition was very serious from the very beginning of her illness. She seemed to make favorable progress for a short time but suffered a relapse Wednesday of last week. The funeral services were conducted at the C.S.P.S. hall in this city Monday afternoon, R.A. Daricek officiating. A wealth of beautiful flowers symbolized the sympathy of the many friends of the family. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in this county, giving evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held in Colfax County, where her entire life was spent. Mary Mastny, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Mastny, was born in Colfax County on March 15, 1889. She passed away February 28, 1920, at the age of 30 years, 11 months, and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Peter Hamata at Schuyler on August 23, 1911. Four children, two sons and two daughters were the issue of this union. They are Elden aged 5 years, Mabel, aged 3, Leonard aged 2 and Clara aged five and a half months. The other surviving relatives are the husband, the parents and the following brothers and sisters, William Mastny, Anton Mastny, Jr., Louis Mastny, Mrs. Joseph Lapacek, Mrs. Raymon, Miss Emil Mastny and Miss Olga Mastny. Mrs. Hamata was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge and was considered one of the most influential members of the organization. She was decidedly popular in her home community and was held in much favor by her numerous friends. Her untimely death comes as a severe shock to the young husband, the four young children bereft of the loving care of their mother.
