Born in Almonte in November 1923, Mary Helen Tosh was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Cephas G. Tosh. She was educated in the local schools and in 1948 went to Toronto where she became a dress designer. In October, 1952, she married Mr Roy Nason, of Toronto, who survives with an infant son, three weeks of age. Besides her husband and son, Mrs Nason leaves her parents, four sisters and two brothers: Dorothy, Mrs Victor Gilhuly of Smiths Falls; Elsie, Mrs Allan Stanley of Almonte; Roberta, Mrs John McQuade of Toronto, and Margaret at home; George of Almonte and Robert of Toronto. The funeral, which was very largely attended, was held on Monday, Nov 21st, from her parents' home to St John's Presbyterian Church where service was held at 3.00 p.m. Rev J.M. Ritchie, minister of the church, officiated and interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs Stuart Tosh, Orval Tosh, Allyne Goodfellow, John Newell, Russell Kowalchuk and Laurie Morton. Among the beautiful tributes were flowers from the Toronto Motor Car co., Atthewell Rebekah Lodge, Producers Dairy, The Heather Club of Almonte and Westminster Church Choir, of Smiths Falls. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral was Mr Frederick Nason of McAdam, N.B., father-in-law of the deceased.
