Description	:	MARY HENRIETTA (BECK) HOAGLUND MARY HOAGLUND SERVICES HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON Funeral services were held last Tuesday at the Community Church for the late Mrs. Mary Hoaglund who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence O. Quam early Saturday morning, July 8th. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Keith Hamilton with solos by Mrs. Stephen Marolt accompanied by Mrs. M. M. Neihardt. Quam early Saturday morning, July 8th. The funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Keith Hamilton with solos by Mrs. Stephen Marolt accompanied by Mrs. M. M. Neihardt. Mary Henrietta Beck Hoaglund was born in Filipstad, Sweden, January 13, 1868. She came to America in 1887 and worked for a time at Leadville and Kokomo, Colorado. In 1890 she camp to Aspen where she was married to Charles August Hoaglund in August 1891. To this union was born 6 children, two, Paul and Rose, preceding her in death. Mrs. Hoaglund lived in and near Aspen since 1890 with the exception of short periods when she lived in Grand Junction and Rifle with her children. After living in Aspen for many years the family moved to Brush Crook where Mr. Hoaglund passed away in 1939. Since that time she has made her home with her children. She was very active up to two years ago when she became ill, doing all of her own work and sharing her life with her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Selma Quam and Mrs. Hildur Anderson, both of Aspen, and two sons Henry of Gunnison and Ralph of Salida. thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Burial was in Red Butte cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by the Sardy Mortuary. Pallbearers were Otto Johnson. Owen Roberts, Wm. Stapleton, Evan Melton, Owen Kearns, and James Vagneur.
