Description	:	In Osawatomie, Saturday evening, March 2, 1901, Mary Hessong, aged 53 years and 9 months. Born in Indiana May 25, 1847. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1867 and settled on a farm near Mapleton. At age of 15 she became a victim of that dread disease "epilesy". April 16, 1887 she was taken to the state institution at Osawatomie. Remains brought back to Mapleton and funeral services were conducted by Rev. West of Prescott, were held at the home of her brother, after which interment was made in Mapleton Cemetery. Three brothers and...
