Ellis, daughter of William and Sarah Ellis, was born Jan. 23, 1865, at Pleasant Plain, Ia., and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Dunlap, Jan. 21, 1930, aged 64 years, 11 months and 29 days. She moved with her parents to Allen, Neb., in 1870, where she spent the remainder of her life except 11 months that were spent on a homestead at Stratten, Colo. She was married to Joseph H. Ellis, daughter of William and Sarah Ellis, was born Jan. 23, 1865, at Pleasant Plain, Ia., and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Dunlap, Jan. 21, 1930, aged 64 years, 11 months and 29 days. Harper, Jan. 23, 1885, who preceded her in death, 11 months ago. To this union were born five children, Kay dying in infancy. Those left to mourn her loss are Glenn, of Richland, Neb., Walter, Cecil and Mrs. Alta Dunlap, all of Allen, Neb.; three brothers and one sister Billy Ellis of Pleasant Plain, Ia., Charles Ellis, of Van Hook, N. D., Isaac Ellis of Allen, Neb., and Annie Rusk of Lowell, Ore.; eight grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Harper met with a serious automobile accident Aug. 7, from which she never recovered. She was given the best of medical care and loving hands did all they could to relieve her suffering. She finally passed quietly away from a complication of diseases on Jan. 21, at 2 A. M. Mrs. Harper was a birthright member of Springbank meeting at the time of her death. She seemed to realize that the end was drawing near and left testimony that she was ready to go. Funeral services were conducted from the Friends church Thursday afternoon, by Rev. Phinney.
