From her Obituary: Mrs. Mary Jane Holiday Barrineau, 80, mother of Mrs. Wesley Folk, of Denmark, died June 3 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.J. Boswell in Florence. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the graveside in the cemetery at Manning, conducted by Rev. J.P. Burris, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster, assisted by Rev. J. W. McElrath. Jordan, of Anderson; Mrs. A.J Boswell, Florence; Mrs. W. E. Folk, Denmark; Mrs. John Barton, Lancaster; two sisters, Miss Lizzie Holiday, of Savannah, and Mrs. Ada Rhame, of Holly Hill; 25 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Barrineau visited her daughter here often and was a cheerful happy person. She had many friends who were grieved to hear of her death. Active pallbearers were her grandsons, Ingram, Glenn, and George Barrineau, of Manning; Vinson Boswell, of Florence; honorary: Deacons of the Manning Baptist church and friends of the family from Florence and Manning. The granddaughters served as flower girls.
