She came to Andrew, Iowa with her family. She married John M. Shoaff June 1, 1852 in Andrew, Iowa. She and John, with heir family moved to Vinton, Benton County, Iowa in 1863. There were five children from this union, Wilmina (1854), John Calvin (1856), Silas (1859), Luke (1861) and Viola (1863). Mary Died in Vinton, Iowa, July 12, 1865.
