Grosvenor died at her home in Logan, Thursday night, Aug. 12th, about 10:30, after a long illness. Mary Jane Kilts was born at Sharon, July 22, 1849, and was married to Alvin S. Grosvenor, November 22, 1877, and moved to Council Bluffs in November, 1879, and came to Logan in February, 1880, and the family moved on a farm that year. Grosvenor died at her home in Logan, Thursday night, Aug. 12th, about 10:30, after a long illness. Mary Jane Kilts was born at Sharon, July 22, 1849, and was married to Alvin S. Grosvenor, November 22, 1877, and moved to Council Bluffs in November, 1879, and came to Logan in February, 1880, and the family moved on a farm that year. September 1, 1890, the family came to Logan and the home has since been here, where Mrs. Grosvenor was well known and where she made many friends. She was a kind hearted woman, the best of neighbors and did not think of her own convenience when there was anyone in her vicinity needing help. She was the mother of three children, Edna May, Ada A., and Harlow P., who, with the husband are left to mourn the loss of mother and wife, one whose every thought was for their comfort and well being. She joined the Methodist Episcopal church in girlhood and lived a Christian life, and at its close was taken to the church in Logan where the funeral was conducted by Rev. Cable, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. A large congregation gathered to do honor to her memory and show their sympathy to the bereaved ones. She was laid to rest in Logan cemetery."
