Description	:	The Allerton News September, 1922 Mary J. Shaw was born in Louisa County, Iowa, on December 2, 1865, and died at her home four miles west of Allerton, Monday, Sept. 4, 1922. When three years of age she came with her parents, Samuel J. and Jeannette (Duncan) Shaw, to Wayne County, and has resided in this county since that time, excepting two years which were spent in Oklahoma. At the age of sixteen she professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the United Presbyterian church at Allerton, and has always lived a faithful and consistent Christian life. On... Read More	The Allerton News September, 1922 Mary J. Shaw was born in Louisa County, Iowa, on December 2, 1865, and died at her home four miles west of Allerton, Monday, Sept. 4, 1922. When three years of age she came with her parents, Samuel J. and Jeannette (Duncan) Shaw, to Wayne County, and has resided in this county since that time, excepting two years which were spent in Oklahoma. At the age of sixteen she professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the United Presbyterian church at Allerton, and has always lived a faithful and consistent Christian life. On September 9, 1885, Mary J. Shaw was united in marriage to W. H. Robertson in Wayne County, Iowa. Five children were born to this union – Florence Olive and Carl, who died in infancy; Mae, Charles R. and William E. Mr. Robertson passed to his reward on January 21, 1895, since which time Mrs. Robertson has had the care and responsibility of the family. The funeral services were held from the United Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon, and the body was interred in the Allerton Cemetery. Mrs. Robertson leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Mae Morrison of Stanton, Iowa; two sons, C. R. and W. E. Robertson of Allerton; a sister, Mrs. C. W. Wilson of Allerton, and two brothers, E. L. Shaw of Clio, and J.C. Shaw of Spring Hill, Kansas.
