Description	:	Mary Jean Thomas Williams, 81, of Merryvale Assisted Living, left this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle for a new one with her Lord. She was the daughter of the late Paul Willie Thomas and Edna Putnam Thomas. She leaves behind a husband of 62 years, Furman Ervin Williams of Covington. Read More	Mary Jean Thomas Williams, 81, of Merryvale Assisted Living, left this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle for a new one with her Lord. She was the daughter of the late Paul Willie Thomas and Edna Putnam Thomas. She leaves behind a husband of 62 years, Furman Ervin Williams of Covington. The majority of their lives were spent in Enoree, SC and Laurens, SC. The later years have been in Due West, SC and at Merryvale Assisted Living in Oxford, GA. She had worked in shipping at Watts Mill, as an accountant for her step-father, the late Dr. Melvin Nickles and she and her mother co-owned an antique shop, The Market Place, on the square in Laurens. She was an exceptional seamstress, loving mother, and of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda W. and Fritz Baldwin of Conyers, GA and Nancy W. and Tom Matthews of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Betty Thomas of Laurens; three grandsons, Jeffrey W. Baldwin of Fairfax Station, VA, Andy Casey of San Antonio, TX, and Jason R. Baldwin of Augusta, GA; six great grandchildren, Avery, Maddie, Addie, and Anna Baldwin and Sean and Zac Casey; two step grandchildren, Dianna Matthews and Jennifer Adams; and five step great grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, Devon, Ashlon, and Brianna; two sisters-in-law, Elvie Miracle and Julia Williams; a brother-in-law, Jim Williams; nine nephews, two nieces, and many long time dear friends and relatives. Cryptside services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum conducted by Pastor Trina Petersen and Dr. Bev T. Kennedy, Jr.
