She resided her early life in Louisville and later in Northern Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Wilson Eugene Kelley and this union was blessed with two daughters, Kim and Karen. She worked as a bartender in Northern Kentucky and was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed making crafts and being with her family. She was united in marriage to Gayle Lee Richards on June 8, 1988 in Covington, Kentucky. They shared 28 years of marriage together until his death on April 15, 2016. She had resided in Madison since 1987 and was a member of the Faith Alliance Church. Mary Jo died on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 3:25 p.m. at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Mary Jo will be missed by her loving daughter, Kim Kelley of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Amanda Martinez, Billy Kelley, Megan Contratto, Melissa Pfaltzgraf; her great grandchildren, Meadow, Nico, Lillian, & Gianni; and Gayle's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Benfield, her mother, Edith Lee Hassellback Benfield, her daughter, Karen Contratto and her husband, Gayle Lee Richards died April 15, 2016. PRIVATE Arrangements were private with burial in the Vevay Cemetery, 800 East Main Street in Vevay, Indiana
