Description	:	On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, Mary Joan (Adler) Willeke, 91, was called to be with the Heavenly Father. Her life was a celebration of love and support for her family. Mary was born on April 4, 1925, in Hancock County to the late Hulda and George Adler. She is survived by her daughter, Karen of Findlay and son, Steve (Marla) of Shiloh, Ohio. Grandchildren are Katherine of Shiloh and Steven of Cincinnati. Read More	On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, Mary Joan (Adler) Willeke, 91, was called to be with the Heavenly Father. Her life was a celebration of love and support for her family. Mary was born on April 4, 1925, in Hancock County to the late Hulda and George Adler. She is survived by her daughter, Karen of Findlay and son, Steve (Marla) of Shiloh, Ohio. Grandchildren are Katherine of Shiloh and Steven of Cincinnati. She is also survived by her twin sister, Martha Kahler of Kenton and sister-in-law, Annabelle (Willeke) Smith of Sunbury, Ohio and several loving nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Russell; grandson, Scott Michael; sister, Delilah Adler; brother, Dallas Adler; and her parents. She was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1943. She was a lifetime member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Arlington where she was the church organist, a choir member, Sunday School teacher, and, a member of the "Sewing Ladies.' While living in Forest, Ohio, with her family she worked part-time at the Forest Variety Store. She was a member of the CCL and Progress Clubs and for many years. Mary was a 4-H advisor for the Forest Stitch and Stir 4-H Club. She was always very involved in the family activities. In particular, she was very supportive of her husband's career as a music teacher. She attended all concerts, parades, music competitions and festivals. Mary was moral support during his 33 years as a music teacher. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church in Arlington, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, Ohio and for one hour (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) Friday prior to the service. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Good Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Dola Cemetery. Condolences can be sent via www.coldrencrates.com.
