Description	:	Mary Julia (Woods) Jacob, daughter of Andrew P. Woods and Elizabeth Good, were of Scotch-Irish-French descent and were among the early settlers of the Panhandle of Virginia. She was married in Oct. 1850, to Hon. Alexander M. Jacob and lived at Waddington, their country home near Wheeling, W. Va., prior to the family's move to Ida County, Ia., in April 1877. She was born Sept. 1, 1827, at Wheeling, W. Va., and passed away on April 13, 1914, at the age of 86 years, 7 mo., and 13 days. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida... She was born Sept. 1, 1827, at Wheeling, W. Va., and passed away on April 13, 1914, at the age of 86 years, 7 mo., and 13 days. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa. Last September she fell and sustained a hip fracture, and after a few weeks later, suffered a severe stroke of apoplexy, since which time she has been confined to her bed. Mary Julia and Alexander had 9 children, Elizabeth, Mrs. Mary Miller, Z. Montgomery, and Alexander having passed away. The living are Nancy M. Magee and Mrs. Martha Jane Moorehead residing in Colorado, and Sallie, Andrew, and Juliia now living at home. They also raised a cousin, Daniel F.
