She died Friday night in Norfolk. Miss Mary Skiff was born May 22, 1867 at Putney, Vermont. At the age of 10 she moved to Albie, Nebraska / Elba, Nebraska with her parents. She was married on May 13, 1884 at St. Paul Nebraska to Henry Ferris. She was survived by 8 sons and daughters: Mrs. Otto Nemson, Will, Everett, Mrs. W. H. Wege, Police Chief Irvin A. Ferris all of Norfolk, Edward of San Diego, California; large number of grandchildren, 3 brothers: Andrew of Eugene, Oregon; William and Jim of Norfolk; 1 sister Mrs. Ray Benish of Santa Ana, California. Her brother Ed of Norfolk died last February of a heart attack while walking home in a blizzard. In another listing of survivors it was shown as her husband who is seriously sick at home, 8 sons and daughters: Mrs. Otto Nelson, William, Everett, Mrs. W. H. Wege, Irvin A. Ferris all of Norfolk, Edward and Mrs. Jack Keleher of San Diego, California; Mrs. Alice Field of Marshalltown, Iowa; and a large number of granchildren.
