Katherine Buechel was born in West Point township on August 15, 1852 and was a lifelong resident of the county. On April 13, 1880, she was united in marriage to Mr. Theodore Kramer at. Katherine Buechel was born in West Point township on August 15, 1852 and was a lifelong resident of the county. On April 13, 1880, she was united in marriage to Mr. Theodore Kramer at. St. Mary's church in Fort Madison. Nine children were born in this union. She is survived by her husband, three sons and four daughters, Joseph, Fred and Henry Kramer, all of West Point, Mrs. Minnie Buechel of Fort Madison; Mrs. J. B. Kraus of Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. A, J. Lind of Burlington, and Mrs. Henry Brinkchroeder of West Point, One daughter died in infancy. There are also 1 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Louise Schroeder, and two brothers, Theodore and Adolph Buechel all of Fort Madison. Mr. and Mrs.Kramer moved to West Point on March 6. Deceased was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church of Fort Madison and also the Rosary society of that church. She was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's church in West Point. Rev. Father Grothe will officiate and interment will be made in Gethsemane cemetery in Fort Madison.
