Death was sudden and due to a heart attack. Mr. Kramer had been up and about. He was born April 29, 1856, in Hamm, Germany, and came to America with his parents when he was 14 years of age. Mr. Kramer was a farmer and lived near Fort Madison. Mr. Kramer was married to Katherine Buetchel in St. Mary's Catholic church in Fort Madison. Following the death of his wife, he made his home with his children and while in West Point was member of St. Mary' Catholic church there. He is survived by three sons, Joe Kramer and Fred Kramer of West Point and Henry Kramer of Fort Madison; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Brinkschroeder of Williamstown, Mo.; Mrs. John Kraus of Tacoma, Wash.: Mrs. August Lynn of Burlington, Iowa, and Mrs. Gus Buetchel of Mt. Pleasant. One sister also survives, Mrs. Mary Pannenberg of West Point; two brothers, Henry Kramer of Fort Madison and William Kramer, address unknown. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Nieters-Schier Funeral home in West Point and funeral arrangements are pending.
