Description	:	Mary Sterrett age 85 of McComb died Monday July 7, 2014 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage in Findlay. She was born September 27, 1928 to Floyd and Wilma (Mapes) King. On May 4, 1947 she married Jerry Eugene Sterrett and he died September 16, 1973. She is survived by a daughter Janet (David) Steen of McComb, a son in law Ray Zeiter of Findlay, and a daughter in law Deb Sterrett of McComb. There are 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Read More	Mary Sterrett age 85 of McComb died Monday July 7, 2014 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage in Findlay. She was born September 27, 1928 to Floyd and Wilma (Mapes) King. On May 4, 1947 she married Jerry Eugene Sterrett and he died September 16, 1973. She is survived by a daughter Janet (David) Steen of McComb, a son in law Ray Zeiter of Findlay, and a daughter in law Deb Sterrett of McComb. There are 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mrs. Sterrett was preceded in death by her daughter Rita Zeiter, son Steve Sterrett, grandson Chuck Sigler, and brothers; Floyd and Barney King. Mrs. Sterrett was a 1946 graduate of McComb High School. She was the Mayor of the Village of McComb from 1976-1980 which she was very proud to have served. She retired in 1991 from the Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay after working 15 years. Mrs. Sterrett was a member of the McComb United Methodist Church. She collected "Gone with the wind" and Elves collectables. Visitation will be on Friday July 11, 2014 3-8 p.m. at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb. The funeral is Saturday July 12, 2014 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Mayne officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery. The HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME has been entrusted to handle the arrangements for Mary and her family.
