Mrs. Strickland was born January 3, 1929 daughter of the late Sinclair and Viola L. Clark. She was the devoted wife of the late Arnold “Tink” Strickland. She served the Lord as a faithful lifetime member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Strickland was a special loving mother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Locklear and a son, Bobby Ray Strickland. She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Strickland and Claudie Strickland both of Laurinburg; a brother, James Clark of Laurinburg; sisters, Lilllie Mae Locklear, Kathleen Oxendine and Vileaner Clark all of Laurinburg; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
