Born in Abbeville County, she was retired from Flexible Technologies. She was instrumental in the formation of the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department. She was also active in the 4-H. Surviving are widower, Rufus Ayers of the home; daughters, Mary Anne Rice of Belton, and Ruthie Edmunds of Abbeville; son, David Ayers of Easley; seven grandchildren; and one brother, James P. Crawford of Due West. She was the daughter of the late Calvin Winn and Mary Neva Price Crawford. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Main St. United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bob Clemons; entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday. The family will be at the home. The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
