She attended Lewis and Clark High School, Spokane. Mary worked in sales at her family's appliance store and Arnold Heating company located in the Fox theater building. Mary attended the University of Washington and was a freshman pledge to the Sigma Kappa sorority house. She earned her Real Estate License in 1970 and worked with her brother Chet at his company, House and Home Realty, among her other careers. Mary was honored for her 40 years of volunteer service with Sacred Heart Hospital in 2010. Mary married HM (Bob) Busch (deceased: 3/2014) in 1952 and they celebrated their 61st anniversary December 2013. Bob and Mary founded Regal Millwork of Spokane, Bob worked with his sons Paul and Rob up until his last day. Children: Paul, Jan, Mark (deceased 6/2002), Barbie and Rob. Grandchildren; Shawna, Brad, Shayla, Michael and Krista, and 8 great ones. Bob and Mary built two homes, the Windy Bay lake cabin and the Spokane home where they raised their family and spent their last days. Mary delighted in contemplated conversation with people of like-minded enthusiasm about her many topics of interest. She had a very eloquent and articulate manner of speech, "hitting the mark", and she imparted her grand wisdom to her children and grandchildren. She loved her family with her greatest passion from the deepest part of her heart. She had the best "belly laugh" and we enjoyed her quick wit and sharp sense of humor. She loved dress-up occasions and loved going out on the town. Mary felt that looking her best was her way of paying compliment to her guests or hosts. She had a uniquely elegant sense of fashion and poise (Shalimar is her favorite perfume). We felt a sense of 'special presence' when she entered the room. Mary had an enthusiast quest to learn about British culture (especially ancient and middle age Cathedrals and ruins), fine arts, astrology, geology (especially Lake Missoula and the USA southwest) and the study of all religions. Mary loved photography and learned to be a wonderful photographer. She quickly made lifelong friends in her many world travel adventures and she reveled in visiting the world's great cultural sites, fine arts Museums and infamous Cathedrals, thus, completing several personal travel logs. She had a deep-rooted passion for all kinds of music. Operas, classical, contemporary; Mancini, Big Band; Stan Kenton, Jazz; Ella Fitzgerald, Miles, Gino Vannelli, Pink Floyd, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Fresh Aire, Ramsey Lewis, Sergio Mendes, Herb Albert, Pop; Karen Carpenter and the Beatles. The Busch home was full of wonderful music! We were the only home where the kids borrowed records from their mom. Mary was a compassionate animal advocate. She was a regular donor and an adoption home for many animal shelters and Veterinarians. Probably at this very moment, Mary is surrounded by an exuberant multitude of her pet cats, dogs, and a horse, gleefully ready to lead her to the Heavenly Busch Family Home. The Busch family extends our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Hospice of Spokane and the wonderful staff. Funeral service will be held at St. Aloysius Church, Gonzaga Campus, Spokane. Wednesday at 2 p.m., Jan. 29th, 2020
