Description	:	Mary J. Dalhoff Kohn, daughter of Frank and Wilhelmina Fielder Dalhoff, was born March 30, 1896 at Haverhill, Iowa. She passed away September 19, 1972, at the Hartley Community Hospital at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 20 days. She was united in marriage February 12, 1930, to Peter J. Kohn, at Early, Iowa. They then lived in Cherokee and Alta and in 1948, moved to Hartley. In 1954, she and her husband retired and moved to Spencer and in 1969 returned to Hartley to make her home. She passed away September 19, 1972, at the Hartley Community Hospital at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 20 days. She was united in marriage February 12, 1930, to Peter J. Kohn, at Early, Iowa. They then lived in Cherokee and Alta and in 1948, moved to Hartley. In 1954, she and her husband retired and moved to Spencer and in 1969 returned to Hartley to make her home. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Altar Society at Hartley and Legion of Mary. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and her husband in 1961. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Moermond (Ruth) of Sutherland; one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kohn of Hartley; eight grandchildren, two brothers, Monsignor J. J. Dalhoff of LeMars, Fred Dalhoff of Halbur, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Bernadine Elschied of Carroll and Catherine Wagner of Manning, Iowa, other relatives and her many friends. Funeral services were held Friday morning, September 22, at St. Joseph Catholic church in Hartley with Father Joseph Kerwin officiating. Casket bearers were Curtis Pearson, Orville Nagel, Kenneth Kroger, Robert Burns, Bernard Kenninger and Verlus Pippert. Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge.
