Description	:	Mary M. Hook Ambrose age 91 of Hillsboro passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born December 8, 1922 in Clinton County, the daughter of the late J. Ed. and Kathleen (Davis) Hook. Mrs. Ambrose was a member of the Fall Creek Friends Church in Hillsboro. She is survived by three nephews, Larry D. Hook of Dayton, Gene (Debbie) Hook of Martinsville and Eric (Marilyn) Mathews of Hillsboro; one niece, Janice Carrozzella of Cincinnati and one sister-in-law, Jean A. Head of Hillsboro. She was born December 8, 1922 in Clinton County, the daughter of the late J. Ed. and Kathleen (Davis) Hook. Mrs. Ambrose was a member of the Fall Creek Friends Church in Hillsboro. She is survived by three nephews, Larry D. Hook of Dayton, Gene (Debbie) Hook of Martinsville and Eric (Marilyn) Mathews of Hillsboro; one niece, Janice Carrozzella of Cincinnati and one sister-in-law, Jean A. Head of Hillsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert H. Brackney on January 6, 1946 in World War II; her second husband, Dr. Donald L. Ambrose whom she married on May 18, 1952 and after 55 years of marriage died on April 20, 2007; also a sister, Louise McCarty and a brother, Leslie D. Hook; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Hook and Harriett Duckwall and a brother-in-law, Howard "Mac" McCarty. A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. H. Scott Latimer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home. Memorial Donations may be made to the Fall Creek Friends Church, c/o Kathy Herrmann, 10865 North Shore Drive, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
