The maiden name of the deceased was Mary M. King. She was born in Saratoga County, N. Y., Dec. 5, 1828, and was, therefore, at the time of her death, about 2 months over 75 years of age. Read More	Obituary from Woodbine Twiner (page unknown; dated 12 Feb 1904): "Mrs. Mary M. Hunt died Monday morning, Feb. 8, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. S. Hall of this city. The maiden name of the deceased was Mary M. King. She was born in Saratoga County, N. Y., Dec. 5, 1828, and was, therefore, at the time of her death, about 2 months over 75 years of age. She was married to Jason Z. Hunt July 4, 1848. They came to Iowa in November 1880, and settled on a farm in Harrison County, where they resided until about four years ago when Mrs. Hunt came to Woodbine to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. S. Hall. Mrs Hunt was the mother of 6 children, 5 of whom still survive, as follows: Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Witter, of this city; L. M. Hunt, near Dunlap; Mrs Geo. Case, of Cass township; and C. W. Hunt, of Logan. Mrs. Hunt united with the M. E. Church early in life and passed quietly away in that faith, fully relying upon the good promises of the Saviour. Those from out of town to attend the funeral were: J. C. Milliman and wife, E. W. Milliman, Mrs. W. A. Aiston, Mrs. Hannah King and Ensign Hunt & daughter, of Logan; W. L. Hunt, of Denison; Mr. & Mrs. Frank Haas of Dunlap." Correction printed in the "Woodbine Twiner," Feb. 19, 1904: "In the obituary of Mrs. Hunt last week, a typographical error caused the statement that the family came to Harrison County in 1880.
