Coggshall, 93, of Nevada died Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn. from a Heart ailment. She was born April 29, 1909, near Nevada to John and Florence Lillian (Dean) Moran. She married Anderson Coggshall on Jan. 1, 1932. She graduated from High school and attended Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls for two years. She taught at Shipley School prior to her marriage and then became a substitute teacher. She had lived in Nevada most of her life until moving to the Arbors at Ridges Center in Burnsville, Minn., three months ago to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of the First United Methosidt Church of Nevada, where she was a very active member. She was also a member of the Sroty County Farm Bureau, "Our Day Out Club". a 50-year member of teh DAR, the quilters, the Bridge Club and was a former 4-H Leader. She had also served as a volunteer at Central Elementary School and the Nevada Library. She enjoyed playing Bridge and reading. Survivors include two sons, John C. (and Vally) Coggshall of New Haven, Conn., and Kermit (and Janis) Coggshall of Dallas, Texas; a duaghter Linda (and Roger) Nielsen of Eagan, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy, on June 12, 2001; her parents; a brother, Lloyd Moran; and a sister, Mildred Hansen. Funeral services were held Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorial mey be made to First United Methodist Church and/or the Nevada Public Library. The Bacon Funeral Home, Nevada, handled arrangements.
