Mrs. Coffin, who apparently had been in good health, suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon, and died at 6 p.m. in a hospital. She was 67 years of age. Mrs. Coffin, who apparently had been in good health, suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon, and died at 6 p.m. in a hospital. She was 67 years of age. Active in many community affairs, Mrs. Coffin had resided in Reno for more than 31 years. She was an active member of Mizpah Lodge No. 26 of the Rebekahs, of which she was the financial secretary. She had been treasurer of the state Rebekah assembly for nine years. Mrs. Coffin also was a prominent member of the Twentieth Century Club, and was active on the YWCA board. She was an Eastern Star and was active in affairs of the Methodist Church. Born in Placerville, California July 11, 1879, Mrs. Coffin lived most of her early life in Ione, California. Her father was superintendent of school in that community. She and Mr. Coffin married on September 22, 1917. Surviving are her husband, a step-daughter, Ruth Coffin, two brothers, George S. Mack of Grass Valley and D. M. Mack of Sacramento, and four sisters, Mrs. Dan Stewart of Antioch, California, Mrs. J. A. Chambers and Mrs. R. H. Frost, both of Oakland, and Mrs. C. J. Orton of Vallejo. Her sister, Mrs. Stewart of Antioch, is in Reno on vacation at the present time. Funeral services will be announced by the Ross-Burke Company.
