Mary was born on August 29,1915 in Granum. She married Barney Ellefson in 1938 and moved to Enchant where she resided until 1968. Mary operated school buses there for many years. Mary was born on August 29,1915 in Granum. She married Barney Ellefson in 1938 and moved to Enchant where she resided until 1968. Mary operated school buses there for many years. In 1968, she moved to Lethbridge and completed a hairdressing course. In 1969, she married Chris Erickson and resided in Lethbridge until her passing. She is survived by three daughters: Shirley (Selmer) Peterson of Enchant, Maxine (Walter) Janzen of Sorrento, B.C., and Beverley (Jim) Shelby of Rosedale, Alberta; one son, Bryan (Linda) Ellefson of Picture Butte: 11 grandchildren; four sisters: Fedelia ritzpatrick of Granum, Alice Renkema of Granum, Jeanette Sommerville of Bashaw, Alberta, and Rose Metzger of Stirling; three sisters-in-law: Pearl DeMaere of Red Deer, Edith DeMaere of Granum, and Mabel (Riley) Bracken of Vancouver; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Barney Ellefson in 1961; her second husband, Chris Erickson in 1990; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph and Flora DeMaere; a sister, Marguerite; and four brothers: John, Francis, Albert, and Clarence DeMaere. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, December 3, 1990, in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 318 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, with Father John Petravicius Celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the Enchant Cemetery, Family Plot. MARTIN BROS. FUNERAL CHAPELS LTD., Directors of the Funeral Service.
